We are excited to share that PSAD is in the process of updating our mission, vision, and core values statements to reflect our true purpose and community needs better. We want to ensure that these statements truly capture the heart of PSAD and our commitment to serving our community.

Mission Statement

PSAD is a community hub that offers sustainable resources, leadership development, and social activities to foster pride, community wealth, and leadership for the Deaf communities in the Salish Sea and surrounding regions.

Vision Statement

PSAD envisions a world where the Deaf Community thrives with full accessibility, communication, and inclusion. In this world, multiculturalism and diversity are embraced, and cohesive communities enjoy peace, equity, and abundant opportunities. PSAD is a dynamic, forward-thinking organization that provides valuable resources, collaborates effectively with partners, and continuously innovates to meet the evolving needs of the community. PSAD is a recognized leader in promoting the wellness and success of the community.

At PSAD, we want to help people learn new things and develop important skills. We believe everyone has something valuable to contribute, and we like to be creative when solving problems. We want to make sure everyone has access to the resources they need to be successful. We are dedicated to helping people achieve their goals and reach their full potential by finding new and innovative ways to address challenges in our community. 

Well Being

At PSAD, we want everyone to feel good, not just physically, but emotionally and socially too. We want to create a place where everyone feels included and supported. We respect and appreciate each person as an individual and believe that a welcoming environment is essential for everyone to feel like they belong. We believe in doing the right thing for our community, and that means being honest and accountable for what we do. We think it's important to value and learn from everyone's different experiences and backgrounds. We work hard to make sure everyone feels included and that their emotional, social, and physical well-being is a top priority. 

Community Engagement

At PSAD, we think it's important to celebrate the history and culture of our community. We want to create events and spaces that bring people together and make everyone feel welcome. We believe that when people work together and learn from each other, our community becomes stronger and more connected. We think it's important to recognize and appreciate everyone's differences and promote fairness and inclusion. At PSAD, we are committed to working with our community to build a place where everyone feels like they belong.

At PSAD, we want to make sure we can keep helping our community for a long time. We think it's important to grow and change so we can be successful in the future. We know that we need support from our community to be successful, and we want to be responsible with our resources. We believe that everyone has something valuable to offer, and we want to help people achieve their goals. We want to help people be self-sufficient and find new and creative ways to succeed. At PSAD, we are committed to making sure everyone can thrive and be successful for a long time.
